Members United’s ACH Now! system is being updated to comply with NACHA’s International ACH Transactions (IAT) rules amendment, scheduled to debut on September 18, 2009.
In particular, system updates are being made to accommodate format changes related to the new IAT SEC codes.
Originating Depository Financial Institution (ODFIs) will begin originating IAT transactions on or after September 18. If your credit union is an ODFI and uses Members United’s ACH Now! system to originate cross-border transactions – or if you are simply interested in seeing what is involved – we encourage you to participate in our free IAT/ACH Now! System Training.
The online training will focus on:
- Identifying IAT transactions
- Processing derived and blank screen returns for IAT
- Reviewing a new report that will be available to credit unions
