CMG Memorial Foundation
Scholarship Award Application
If your credit union is under $20 million in assets, this scholarship is for you
Members United Corporate FCU is pleased to offer the CMG Memorial Foundation Scholarship Award, in honor of the late Christine M. Gross, a Members United friend and colleague. The foundation was formed to help smaller credit unions—those under $20 million in assets—participate in Members United’s educational opportunities, when cost is a prohibitive factor. Opening doors to education events, for which the cost of attendance could be beyond the means of a smaller credit union, was an issue close to Christine’s heart.
Scholarship award benefits will be used to cover conference costs to attend Members Financial Strategies Conference, including travel and hotel accommodations.
Please complete this CMG Memorial Fund Application and return it by August 8, 2008. Award recipients will be notified by mid-August. |

Hotel Reservations - Deadline August 19, 2008
To receive the $245 reduced rate available for the nights of September 10 and 11, make hotel
reservations directly with The Drake Hotel by 12:00 a.m. (CST) on August 19, 2008, by calling 800-553-7253. The reduction in overnight rate for the nights of September 10 and 11 is compliments of Members United Corporate FCU. Be sure to request the Members United group rate when making your reservation.
Tax Exemptions.
In order to receive tax exempt consideration, your credit union must be registered as tax exempt with the state of Illinois. Please submit your tax exempt form to the hotel prior to check-in. Be sure to pay your hotel bill with a business check or credit card issued by your credit union. Please note that the room tax (also known as the occupancy) in Illinois still applies. Any questions regarding tax exemption should be directed to the hotel.
Hotel Cancellations.
Contact The Drake Hotel. Canceling your conference registration does not cancel your hotel.
Cancellations/Refunds
If Members United receives your cancellation on or before September 5, 2008, your conference registration fee will be refunded. Registrations or cancellations made after September 5, 2008, are not refundable. Your registration is transferable to another person at your credit union by notifying Members United.
