Rodney E. Hood is Vice Chairman for the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). Prior to joining NCUA, Mr. Hood served at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) as Associate Administrator of the Rural Housing Service. Before his public service career, Mr. Hood served in executive positions at North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance Company, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, and Bank of America (Community Reinvestment Act Officer). Named a “Young Leader” in 2005 by the American Council on Germany, Mr. Hood was awarded a fellowship to join a transatlantic delegation to foster American-German relations. Recently, he was named one of the “40 Young Leaders Under the age of 40” by the Triangle Business Journal and received the first ever “Dream Award” instituted by the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation for outstanding commitment to affordable housing.
