Topic: Key Regulatory Devlopments: An Update

Alonzo A. Swann III is the National Credit Union Administration’s (NCUA) Regional Director of the Region III, Atlanta office. He is responsible for the oversight of the chartering program for federal credit unions, and the examination and supervision programs for federally insured credit unions in his region. Swann joined NCUA as an examiner in 1983 and has held various positions since, including associate regional director of field operations (Chicago). He also spent four years on active duty in the U.S. Air Force and currently is a lieutenant colonel in the Air Force Reserves. Swann is married with three children and four grandchildren.
